Unconditional love doesn’t mean to sacrifice what you want and need…

Unconditional love doesn’t mean to love someone more than you love yourself… to sacrifice what you want and need, let someone hurt, neglect, or abuse you. It doesn’t mean to accept unacceptable behavior. It doesn’t mean to put someone first at the expense of yourself… Unconditional love simply means to love; accepting others for who and where they are, as they are. But unconditional love also has to exist for yourself. Unconditional love is recognizing what you want and need, and not accepting less. It means loving yourself enough to say no, stand up for what you deserve, to let go, and move on when someone is not capable of reciprocating… Unconditional love is true love, but it must apply to yourself first.. © Jodi Healy – if you like this please share, someone else may too 🙂
