Sometimes we just love too much… We put our needs and desires aside, sacrifice and care take. We give and give. We would do anything to make someone else happy. We believe, unconsciously, that if we love enough eventually the other person will see how much we love them, and they will love us back. It doesn’t work that way. We simply will continue to be deprived and neglected. The other person will never or is incapable. Either we were taught or learned that we didn’t deserve someone to take care of us, or love us the same. Why do we stay with someone who isn’t able to give us what we need, take care of us, or love us back? Somewhere along the way we lost ourselves. We wrongly believe this is the only person we can ever love, there will never be anyone else… This is a trap. We all have many soul mates, but we will never be united or loved until we learn we deserve to be, and take responsibility for it. “That” person you can always love, but let go, and find someone who will love you back. They exist, and are waiting for you… © Jodi Healy
