Denying pain..

So often we try to deny or avoid the pain and hurt we have experienced.. unfortunately, what we don’t realize is it doesn’t disappear. It accumulates. It builds. It grows inside us, unless we release it. Often our reactions to the present are not true, at least the intensity we imagine or feel. The pain that has accumulated is simply being triggered by what someone or something is doing now. Even if it doesn’t make sense. It sounds simple, but the hardest thing to do is allow yourself to move into the pain- feel it. Cry. Cry hard, cry as long as you need to. Yes, it hurts. It is easier to avoid it, suppress it, deny it, bargain, analyze, reason. When you are in it, it feels like it will never end.. But, it will. And it does. And every time you allow yourself to feel this pain when it is triggered, it will lessen. Get rid of it. Let it out. Your soul will be lighter. You will regain your power. Life will be less heavy.. and eventually, nothing will affect you in the present.. peace and happiness will become your natural state… It really is that simple.. to 2013…
